Alberto joined CSF in 2026 as a Junior Economist and Proposal Support Associate. He has experience balancing both analytical and operational demands. He has worked as a research assistant with the Programa Estado de la Nación and the Institute of Economic Research at the Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR), supporting regional papers and reports through data management, literature review, and synthesis. He has led data analysis teams and has worked as an economic analyst. 

Alberto is currently completing his degree in Economics at the UCR and holds a diploma in Statistics for Research from UNAM.  Alberto has a clear motivation to work at the intersection of economics and conservation. He is interested in conservation, political economy, and development. In his free time, he enjoys writing, surfing, camping, and outdoor sports.
